4 reasons I’m taking a break from blogging

Morning, writers. I write from under a blanket, with sleepy eyes. I’ve decided to take a break from blogging until the end of the year, and although I will miss it a lot, I think it’s the best decision for the following reasons.

Work
I’m starting a new job in the next couple of weeks. Moving from busy GP practice to busy hospital, and I think it’s going to take some adjusting. There is also a big call for volunteers to help with the COVID vaccine clinics, and I’d like to help with these which will likely take up a lot of my free time.

Uni
Uni year 5 is well underway, and it is another step up in my studies. I’m finding it much more difficult than previously, so I need to dedicate more time to it.

Health
I’ve managed thus far despite having three chronic health conditions. But I’m currently undergoing some more tests to work out the cause of some new symptoms, and I’m spending a great deal of my time feeling very exhausted.

Writing
With all of the above going on, the hardest time to carve out is for writing. Blogging may not take a huge deal of time, but it’s time I can better use to get my writing done at the moment.

I will still be popping on to read your posts, and will look forward to coming back to blogging myself when things are a little calmer.

Keep writing!

  1. This year has certainly had a way of making us re-evaluate our priorities and remember how invaluable our health and wellbeing is. I hope you have a really good break and take the time to put yourself first!! All the best 😊
